In order to promote social distancing, any nonessential gathering or event with more than 25 participants scheduled through April 17, 2020, should be canceled, postponed or moved to a virtual event. No new events should be scheduled at this time.
Additionally, nonessential meetings or events of any size should be reconsidered. Remote meeting technology and teleconferencing should be considered as alternatives to face-to-face meetings. Learn more about resources available from Pitt IT.
If face-to-face meetings are essential, remind participants to minimize or discontinue shaking hands, cover coughs and sneezes, wash hands often and to stay home if they are:
- Social Distancing
- Are at increased risk for COVID-19
Additionally, take preventative measures including:
- Provide COVID-19 prevention supplies at your meetings, including signs reminding participants of personal prevention measures.
- Ensure access to sinks with soap and water and provide hand sanitizer and tissues.
- Avoid sharing food, drinks or eating utensils with others.
Individuals should contact their dean or department head with any questions about upcoming events.
