NATIONAL POLICE WEEK: Pitt Police Honor Fallen Officers
It's National Police Week and Pitt Police joined departments from other Allegheny County communities to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in blue. On Saturday, a convoy began at the Crescent Township Police Department and made its way to the Allegheny County Law Enforcement Memorial on the North Shore.

Pitt Security Guard recognized for his service
Tyrone Carter, a University of Pittsburgh Security Guard posted at Trees Hall, was recently profiled by The Pitt News in its Silhouette series, which features interesting people on campus. On May 5, a group of Pitt Police officers joined Ted Fritz, the Vice Chancellor of the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management, and David DeJong, the Senior Vice Chancellor of Business and Operations, at Trees Hall to recognize Mr. Carter and his 16 years of service at the university.

Pitt Police hosts annual Most Wanted Food Drive
The University of Pittsburgh Police Department again teamed up with Pitt Sustainability to eliminate waste by collecting food and goods from students moving out for the summer. Bins for the Pitt Police-managed Most Wanted Food Drive and Pitt Sustainability's Clutter for a Cause were visible throughout campus to handle donations from April 27 to April 30.
