Pitt Police
The Pitt Police is the third largest police department in Allegheny County. Officers are certified by Pennsylvania's Municipal Police Education and Training Commission.
The department consists of a Communication Center, 15 patrol cars, investigative section, community relations unit, and a Specialized Emergency Response Team (SERT).

Emergency Management & Planning
The Emergency Management & Planning Department focuses on the University's "Emergency Preparedness" initiative.
Oversight includes the University's Emergency Plan, disaster response and compliance, and emergency communication systems. (412-624-4288)
Environmental Health & Safety
The Department of Environmental Health and Safety provides coverage for all University of Pittsburgh campus locations, including regional campuses.
The department consists of occupational safety, occupational health, environmental protection, support of emergency management, and safety training. (412-624-9505)
Integrated Security
The Integrated Security Department provides coverage on the Oakland campus. Some of the services they provide include: design and engineering, service and maintenance, installation, advanced technical support and IT, lab testing and experimentation.
The department has a fully standardized, state of the art, campus-wide access control system and intrusion detection platform. In addition, they have a campus-wide Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) and networking platform. (412-624-5008)
